Invitation to the 9th Nordic Conference on Philosophical Practice

Welcome to our conference in Helsinki! Thank you for all the abstracts. We are proud to release a program with a great variety of approaches to this year’s topic. Please find the program attached and make your registration to the conference. In keynotes, workshops, case studies and presentations we will investigate together the topic:

Philosophical Practice and Education

Date and time: Saturday 4.5., 10:00 – 16.45 and Sunday 5.5., 9:30 – 14:30 & workshop: Friday 3.5., 10:00 – 18:00.

Venue: Lapinlahden Lähde, Lapinlahdenpolku 8, Helsinki. 
Our venue is the first clinical building built solely built for psychiatric care in Finland, completed in 1841. The hospital is now closed and offers a venue for cultural activities. The hospital area is beautifully situated next to a park, sea bay and four cemeteries: Lutheran, Orthodox, Islamic and Jewish.

Conference dinner on Saturday:

Conference dinner is at Officer’s Club in Suomenlinna Suomenlinna, a world heritage site, is an inhabited former sea fortress built on six islands. (Suomenlinnan upseerikerho, C 53)

Not included in the conference fee. Cost: 50 EUR, including a buffet menu and a glass of wine. Make your reservation (by paying the dinner) before 24.4. Please inform us about special diets and allergies in advance: five.hallitus@gmail.com.

Registration:

You can register to the conference by paying the conference fee. NOTE! Also all those who have sent their abstracts have to register.

If you have already made your enrollment to the workshop on Friday, please pay the workshop fee together with the conference and dinner.

Fees:

Conference: 50 EUR (Saturday and Sunday, includes coffee breaks and lunches) Dinner: 50 EUR (Saturday evening, includes a buffet menu and a glass of wine) Workshop: 30 EUR (Friday, includes coffee break and lunch)

If you are a student or an unemployed in the field with low income and are unable to attend due to the participation fee, please contact us. We are able to offer a free attendance to those most in need.
